Perfect Cooked Rice



Cooking the perfect fluffy rice when you don't have a rice cooker!! Easy with these simple steps and will help you cooked perfect fluffy rice everytime. Enjoy :)

Ingredients:
2 x cups white rice ( I prefer to use medium grain. It delivers a very nice juicy plump texture)
Water

Add 2 x cups of rice into a large mix bowl and fill with water. Rices need to be washed and rinsed 3 times (this is very important for removing the starch !!!)
Add rice into a pot (my pot is 19cm wide). Add enough water (excuse my middle finger, but this is how i measure the water level) with your middle finger touching the top edge of the rice and water should be about 1.5cm up your finger. 




Cover your pot and pop onto the stove and cook on high til it's boiling for about 1-2mins. Then turn heat to low and simmer for about 15mins


After 15mins simmering, remove from heat , stir your rice
Pop the lid back into the pot and let it rest for 5 mins
 
 
Voila ! perfect fluffy plump rice served . Enjoy
